Designing, Building, and Improving Digital Experiences That Work
As a UX/UI Designer & Front-End Developer, I’ve spent 20+ years working through user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to shape how an experience should function before it ever gets built. I’ve worked closely with stakeholders, project managers, and developers to gather requirements and align on goals, making sure we’re solving the right problems. I keep things clear and straightforward, focusing on usability and consistency, and building systems that scale when needed.
On the front-end side, I’ve brought those designs to life using HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript. I’ve always cared about the details, how things respond across breakpoints, how interactions feel, and making sure everything is accessible and performs well. Being able to both design and build has helped me keep things aligned from start to finish and avoid that disconnect that can happen between design and development.
A big part of my role has been working between teams and helping bridge that gap. I’ve collaborated closely with developers during builds, answering questions, working through edge cases, and making sure the final product stays true to the original intent. I’ve worked within different CMS platforms and real-world constraints, so I’m used to adapting and problem-solving as things evolve.
I also improve existing sites, whether that’s through accessibility updates, usability improvements, or conversion-focused changes. I try to look at things from both the user and business side to find that balance. Making something look good is important, but making sure it works and delivers results is what really matters.
Along the way, I’ve had the chance to mentor other designers and collaborate with a lot of different teams. I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned and helping others grow, especially when it comes to connecting design thinking with real-world implementation. After all this time, I still like the process of taking an idea, working through it, and turning it into something that actually works for people.
